ABOUT THE GATE
As Lead Pastors of theGATE Steve & Nancy Fry’s life message aspires to awaken in people a passion for God and summon the church to align to the kingdom. As a pastor, author, composer and recording artist, Steve blends worship and Scriptural teaching in a way that is relevant and revelatory. His wife, Nancy, serves faithfully along side her husband.
Steve received his Masters degree in Theology from the Wesley Institute, a member college of the Sydney College of Divinity. He is also the President of Messenger Fellowship, a network of leaders and churches committed to "Reformation in the Church and Transformation in the Nations".
Known widely for penning such songs as Oh I Want to Know You More and Oh The Glory of Your Presence, Steve has traveled the globe speaking at churches and conferences, leading mission teams, and touring with his musicals We Are Called, Thy Kingdom Come, and Storyteller. He is the author of a number of books including the popular I AM: The Unveiling of God and True Freedom: What Christian Submission and Authority Look Like.
Steve and Nancy live in Brentwood, TN. They have three grown children and one grandchild. Cameron & Lyssah Fry with son Caeden, Kelsey and Josh Wilking, and Caleigh and Wesley Knight.

Aaron Weaver serves as Executive Pastor for theGATE. In this role, Aaron helps give oversight to much of the organizational elements theGATE.
Above all, Aaron desires to know Jesus and represent him well, and to be part of a community of people seeking to live the compelling truth of the Gospel.
Originally from New Mexico, Aaron met his wife Rachel in China; they married, and then spent five years together there. They both have a heart for international missions and are particularly interested in supporting indigenous pastors through prayer ministry and training.
The Weavers returned from China to the U.S. in 2002 so that Aaron could attend Regent University, from which he earned a M.Div. in Practical Theology and a M.A. in Organizational Leadership. Aaron is ordained with Messenger Fellowship.
Aaron and Rachel have four children: Eleanna, Simeon, Asher and Shiloh.

Steve Garrett serves as the Worship Pastor here at theGate. Steve is a worshipper and dynamic, relevant Bible teacher fueled with a passion for encouraging people to fulfill their God-given destiny, and it shines through in his three word mission statement: Create. Equip. Inspire. He is co-founder and Executive Director of Franklin Prayer House, a growing city-wide collaborative prayer movement in suburban Nashville, Tennessee. From 2008 - 2013 he served as lead pastor of New River Fellowship, a church founded by Michael W. Smith.
As a second-generation pastor ordained into ministry nearly 20 years ago, Steve possesses a broad spectrum of specialized ministry experience in creative roles ranging from youth and young adult ministry, to worship arts. He studied theology at University of Valley Forge, and then went on to earn a degree in Political Science from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Steve furthered his ministerial and leadership training by graduating from the Pastoral Leadership Academy in Nashville. He also holds a certificate in Theology and Ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary.
Steve has travelled extensively in the USA and internationally as a recording artist, speaker, and short-term missionary. He has released three solo projects (most recently 'Reconstruction', along with previous studio records ‘Eavesdropping’ and ‘So Long L.A.’) and has been a featured worship artist and lead vocalist on various projects for Integrity Music, Promise Keepers, Provident, Word Music, Maranatha Music, and Kingsway Music. Steve lives in suburban Nashville with his wife Milissa and their 5 children.

Amy Phillips serves as the Connections Pastor for the Gate. Her roles include connecting new members to community and serving within the body. She is also overseeing Small Groups in 2016.
She is a native Tennessean and received her bachelors in religion from Tufts University. She was ordained through Messenger Fellowship into 2014. She has been at the Gate Community Church since 2008 as a member and as the women's director for 3 years. She and her husband are involved in teaching the Freedom Immersion weekends at the Gate. Her heart is to see the gospel transform people, marriages, and relationships. She lives in Franklin with her husband Caleb, and their two children Noah and Hudson.

Children's Ministry Director - Elementary
Aimee Seidelman comes to us from City Central Church in Tacoma, WA, where she was born and raised. Aimee has been involved in Children’s Ministry for 18 years and Young Adult Ministry for 8 years at City Central Church.
She pioneered a ministry known as the Kid’s Prayer Room as well as Kid’s Freedom Immersions. God has put a fire in her heart to train up the next generation to have a strong foundation in the wisdom and revelation of God. Aimee is an adventurous teacher who loves to have fun and is fully committed to seeing the revelation of God’s love poured out from generation to generation. She is also a part of the Catalyst Ministries team and has led outreach teams all over the world. Aimee is a “foodie" that enjoys coffee, traveling and sports...especially tennis.

Children's Ministry Director - Nursery thru Kindergarten
Bethany Nicholson serves as the Children’s Ministry Director for Nursery through Kindergarten. Bethany has served in children’s ministry for over a decade: coordinating preschool ministry, running VBS events, and leading worship with her husband Ben.
Bethany and Ben met in Newcastle, Australia where they were both serving in Youth With a Mission. They married and moved to Nashville in 2005 to be near Bethany’s family. They have three children: Elisha, Alethia, and Alana.
Bethany and Ben have a desire to partner with families, to see marriages strengthened, and to encourage parents along their journey.
